What We Do
What EverOak Builds
EverOak is a design-build company working across Burlington, Oakville, and Mississauga. We take on three kinds of project, and we run each one from the first sketch to the final walkthrough without handing you off to someone else.
Custom Home Builds
A custom home is built around how you actually live, on a lot you choose, not a floor plan from a developer’s catalogue. We manage the full journey: finding the lot if you need one, architectural design, permits, construction financing, the build itself, and maintenance after you move in. As a Tarion registered builder, every new home we put up is covered by Ontario’s warranty program.
The strongest custom markets in our area are Lorne Park and Mineola in Mississauga, Morrison and Eastlake in Oakville, and established Burlington neighbourhoods like Aldershot and Roseland, where lot values and neighbourhood quality support the investment.
Home Renovations
Renovation is the right move when the house is worth keeping but the layout, finishes, or function no longer fit. Most homes in these neighbourhoods went up between the 1960s and 1990s. They are structurally sound and well located, and a lot of them have kitchens, bathrooms, and main floors that are long overdue.
We handle single rooms, full main floors, basements, and whole-home projects, designed and built by one team. The design is drawn with the real cost of building it already in view, so there is no contractor reinterpreting a plan on site and no surprises arriving at the end.
Renovation makes up a large share of our work in Port Credit and Streetsville in Mississauga, Old Oakville and Bronte along the Oakville waterfront, and throughout Burlington's established suburban core.
ADUs and Home Additions
An ADU is a self-contained unit added to your property: a basement apartment, a converted garage, a backyard garden suite, or a purpose-built addition with a unit attached. Built properly and legally, it earns income, adds value, and gives you room to change how you use the home over time.
Since Bill 23, many properties here may qualify for at least one additional unit without a zoning amendment — but we don't take that as given. Whether it applies to yours is exactly what a feasibility review answers, and we check and verify it with the city before anything is promised. We handle the whole scope, from feasibility and design through permits, construction, and inspections, then hand the unit over legal and livable.
Not every project fits neatly into one box.
Some homeowners want a renovation and a suite in the same job. Some are buying a lot and still working out what to build. Some are early enough that they are deciding whether to renovate, extend, or start over. Because one team handles design and construction, we can scope a project that crosses all three without it falling apart between handoffs. A main-floor renovation and a basement suite is one project, one scope, one point of contact. The fastest way to find the right path is a free consultation.
Common questions about our services
A renovation updates or reworks space inside your home’s current footprint. An addition extends that footprint, adding square footage to the existing structure. A custom build starts from nothing on a lot, putting up an entirely new home. We handle all three, and some projects combine more than one.
Yes. Permit drawings, applications, and coordination with the Burlington, Oakville, or Mississauga building department are part of our standard scope across all three services. You do not manage that separately.
Yes. We take on projects that combine service types as a single scope, which is usually more efficient than running them separately, both for budget and for construction sequencing.
When you hire them separately, the designer draws plans without knowing what they will cost or how they will be built, and the contractor then reinterprets those plans on site. In a design-build model, one team does both, so the design is developed with the real cost and sequence in view. That removes the gap where most renovation surprises come from.
